Bluetopia stack libraries are built with Linaro tool chain for Cortex-A processors. It seems AM1808 uses ARM9 core, which is an old processor core prior to Cortex-A cores. Which, tool chain are using?

Are you using Linux Os on the ARM core? Do, you use CCS8 for Host/ARM builds?

Bluetopia Sources are proprietary and so can't be shared..

I use CCS8 and ti libs for ARM builds.
If sources cant be shared, I want to buy it. Can you send me the link to store where I can buy it ?

By Bluetopia, if you are referring to the TI dual-mode Bluetooth stack, it is licensed royalty free for our customers to use with the TI dual-mode Bluetooth devices (CC256x and WL18xx family of devices). The Laird bt830 does not have a TI controller inside. So no, you cannot obtain/purchase our software to use with a competition device :). Hope this helps!

Hi ! I decided to change my BT module laird bt830 to yours cc256 . I will rebuild my device's board for your bt module. I think it will take less time than writing bt stack by myself . :) Ok ? I will use your module. But know can I get builds Bluetopia for Am1808 ? I can change bt module but can't change processor. So I need Bluetopia builds for AM1808.

We don't have pre-built version for AM1808.
I will investigate the issue and get back to you asap - how and if it's possible.

Hello Brahman,

After further investigation most likely porting will be needed in order to get it to work on the AM1808.

I will send you an email with the details of a 3rd party that can help with such porting.

You said that Bluetopia builds is free for your customers. I am your customer. As I understood you cant port it by yourself . But your 3d party wants 6k $ for port. What is going on ?

Hi,

TI Bluetooth stack is free for TI's customers.

However it wasn't ported to all hosts.
You can use TI Sitara family and a couple of other platforms.

For Platforms which aren't supported you will need to do the porting.
Either by yourself - or by a 3rd party.

If you'd like to do it yourself - that will require a legal process which usually takes a lot of time and effort.
By using one of our 3rd parties that already went through this process you can expedite this effort.

Of course for them to port it to your platform will cost you as they need to spend time and effort doing it.
