Hi,

We are building an application on top of multirole example from SDK. In that we have to measure the rssi value of the received signal.

In multi_role_processAppMsg, GapScan_Evt_AdvRpt_t has an rssi field. Is this can be taken as the received signal strength?

Is there any form factor correction to be added to this to get the correct value?

Hi Anu,

Yes this field represents the received signal strength indicator (rssi).

Hi,

So we understand that no need of any correction factor to this value.

We see a difference in rssi value obtained through spectrum analyser and through this parameter .

Observation:
-92 dbm through this field and -60 dbm in spectrum analyser.

Please share if any point to be noted.

Hi Anu,

It's expected that different receivers measure different RSSI. Please search on the internet to understand what RSSI represents.
