RTOS/CC2640R2F: GAPCentralRole_TerminateLink duration

Hi together.

From time to time GAPCentralRole_TerminateLink needs a lot of time to trigger the event GAP_LINK_TERMINATED_EVENT.

In a Bluetooth trace I have seen retries for about 3 seconds waiting for an answer from the peer.

Wouldn't it be possible to make a hard disconnect from a connection without waiting for the response from the peer?

Hello Michael,
You can try to terminate the connection immediately by calling HCI_EXT_DisconnectImmedCmd, but this will not send the Terminate Ind ( LL_TERMINATE_IND PDU) to the peer device and therefore the peer device will end the connection after supervision timeout.

The Termination Procedure is described in the Bluetooth 5 Core Spec, Vol 6, Part B, section 5.1.6.
