CC2640R2F: CC2640R2F starts only after Board reset

Hello! I use CC2640R2F with my custom project connected to LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2

And CC2640R2F starts only with Board reset option of TI XDS110. With CPU reset and even when unconnected from LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 my board did not starts. What can be source of problem?

To confirm: You are trying to run code on your custom board? And you use a Launchpad as debugger?

You are not stating which software you are running. If you test the empty example and the rfPacketTx example from the SDK, do you see the same issue then?

No yet, TER, sorry! But I think that problem linked with next fact: after power connect supervisor (open drain) leave reset after 30ms and program does not start, but if then short Reset with GND and release it program starts... I use opendrain 30ms supervisor and 100kOhm + 0,1uF components. May be I need to change some what in ccfg.c?

Please use a scope and monitor the reset line when you pull it low with the open drain output. It could be that you are not able to pull the node fully down.

The reset signal looks ok based on the plot. After a power connect supervisor reset, what is the voltage on the VDDR and DCPL pins?

I'll be able to capture the voltages on VDDR and DCPL litle late. Previously: what voltages, forms and start-up time must be on these circuits?

If you run the empty example that I suggested you can check the voltage on VDDR and DCOUPL whenever after you have done a reset.

I see next capture on reset (yellow), dcoupl (pink) and vddr (blue)… so VDDR sometimes better sometimes worst then on the picture... I use recommended CKS2125100M-T between DCDC_SW and VDDR and 10u + 0,1u + 0,1u as recommended

Help please how to fix it?

oh! i'm sorry. I have delete the capture because problem was in probe. I connect another probe and VDDR after startup are always clear and equal to ~1,65V

TER, If I clamp a reset and GND by tweezers, power device, and then release the tweezers, the device starts. It seems that the supervisor's delay is insufficient. Can be somewhere in the settings cc2640r2f can specify proper delay?

I'm not sure why your reset from the supervisor does not work. Do you give the reset when VDDS on C2640R2 is above 1.8 V?
