RTOS/CC2640R2F: Beacons are not scanned/picked up by the central device.

Hello,

I am using two launch pad boards, where I have loaded one with simple broadcaster project and other with simple central, I followed instructions in [http://dev.ti.com/tirex/content/simplelink_academy_cc2640r2sdk_1_14_02_04/modules/blestack/ble_scan_adv_basic/ble_scan_adv_basic.html] to make the central to scan for broadcasters by changing DEFAULT_DISCOVERY_ACTIVE_SCAN to FALSE, but still the central doesn't pick up the broadcast packet. Any leads on this?

What's your advertising interval and scan window/interval?
To make sure your scanner picks up advertisers, the scan window needs to be longer than advertising interval.

Here are the details:
DEFAULT_SCAN_DURATION 4000
DEFAULT_ADVERTISING_INTERVAL 160

Can you add these two lines to init function and scan again?

GAP_SetParamValue(TGAP_GEN_DISC_SCAN_INT ,240 );
GAP_SetParamValue(TGAP_GEN_DISC_SCAN_WIND , 240);

I did, and it didn't discover.

You also need to set this parameter to FALSE to see the result being printed out.

#define DEFAULT_DEV_DISC_BY_SVC_UUID FALSE //TRUE

After that, I was able to scan the simple_broadcaster.
