RTOS/CC2640R2F-Q1: CC2640R2 command line compilation

Part Number: CC2640R2F-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Dear Team,

We would like to have possibility to start the building of the TI-RTOS, an application and BLE stack from command line  - because this process must be started automatically from 3-rd party SW tools (automated build system).

On the following link I found something:

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Projects_-_Command_Line_Build/Create#Working_with_CCS_Linux

However described under above link commands do not work under UBUNTU 16.04 LTS.

Eg. when I  type:

eclipse -noSplash -data /home/wantrych/workspace_v7 -application com.ti.ccstudio.apps.projectCreate -ccs.help

then an error pop-up appears  - in attachment please find  log file  associated to this command.

Questions:

Why it does not work as described in attached tutorial.

Is it possible to build it (TI-RTOS, BLE stack and application ) from "normal" Makefile?  - It will be very  helpful for us.

Do you have either pdf's or additional description how to do this (Makefile or command line compilation ) to provide ?

  • Which version of CCS are you using? Can you confirm that you able to create and build projects without problems using the IDE?

In this thread with a similar error, it turned out that their CCS installation was corrupt, which is why I wanted to first ensure that your installation is good and you are able to build projects when not using command line.

  • I wanted to follow up and check if you had any additional input on this issue and if you were able to create and build projects successfully using the IDE. Any additional details and data you can provide will be most helpful. Thanks!
  • Since I haven’t heard back from you, I’m assuming you were able to move past this issue. If not, please feel free to post a reply with an update below (or create a new thread). Thanks!
