CCS/CC2642R: Linked resources not found after renaming target

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

With simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_2_40_00_81 (and also several older versions I have tried) if I create a project using simple_peripheral and then try to rename the app and stack targets the file references seem to get messed up. The project still builds ok but will always generate a warning "The project contains 13 unresolved buildable linked resource(s)".

I am using CCS 8.3.0.00009 on Mac OS X 10.14.3

Hi Martin,
Renaming can easily turn into complex matters. What specifically do you rename?

Renaming the targets, e.g. ble5_simple_peripheral_cc26x2r1lp_app to be something more representative of my project

I do not think CCS automatically propagate those changes. You might have to do a content search in the project directory files, and potentially rename in file references.

I just manually edited the .project files and fixed the file references.

I am finding this whole process having to recreate my projects from the example projects and merge over code changes each time there is an SDK update a little frustrating, it basically costs me half a day each time. Maybe I have the process wrong, I think I will start another thread on this topic soon when I have some time.
