LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: SDK 2.30 and SDK 2.40 differences

Hi all,

We just noticed that the tone needed for AoA computation in SDK 2.30 is sent differently in SDK 2.40. Does placing tone as Constant Tone Extension (CTE) after the CRC improve AoA accuracy? Is there another changes between these SDKs?

Hi,

Moving the tone after the CRC do not change the AoA accuracy or performance. Reason for placing the CTE after the CRC is to comply with the new BT5.1 specification.

Other change with 2.40 is that AoA examples now support external control via serial interface (uNPI) and RTLS Node Manager is introduced.
