Which version of sniffer Agent do you use?

I just try 1.6.0 and it works fine. I suggest you to try 1.6.0.

Using v1.7.0 should not be a problem.

I tried using V1.6.0 as well

I'm listing out the steps I had followed, Pls let me know if there is anything wrong

1. I have LAUNCHXL-CC1352P-2
2. I flashed the kit with firmware from ....\SmartRF Tools\SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2\sniffer_fw\bin\cc1352p1lp
3. I flashed cc1352p1lp since I could not find firmware for CC1352P-2
4. Opened SmartRF sniffer -clicked detect devices
5. it says no sniffer devices found

meanwhile what is the difference between CC1352P1 and CC1352P-2

LAUNCHXL-CC1352P1:

• Sub-1 GHz operation at 868 MHz / 915 MHz up to +20 dBm
• 2.4 GHz operation up to +5 dBm

LAUNCHXL-CC1352P-2:

• Sub-1 GHz operation at 868 MHz / 915 MHz up to +14 dBm
• 2.4 GHz operation up to +18 dBm*

Hi,

Please check the serial port settings are correctly configured in Sniffer Agent (Options->serial port settings). Baud rate should be set to 921600.

If that does not help, please check that the board is correctly detected in Windows device manager. The LAUNCHXL board shall be shown as 2 COM ports in the device manager.

You can also check the board by opening a serial terminal (e.g. RealTerm) and configure it for 921.6Kbaud. After boot the sniffer FW shall output a string on the serial port and the green LED shall blink once every second.

Pls find the screenshot below

Realterm configured for 921600 - not getting any response from the terminal

opened sniffer port settings - but the com port is greyed out ( before opening sniffer i had disconnected from real term)

Please close all terminal tool and sniffer_agent. Then, start only one terminal tool and connect to COM11 with 921600 baudrate to see if you can see output like the following screen shot.

Pls find the screenshot of teraterm below -  Im not  getting any response (Prior i have ensured tera term and uart is working fine in my launchpad)

In uniflash i selcted the launchpad as CC1352P1 since CC1352P2 was not available in the list and flashing was succesfull( can it have anything to do with that)

Thank you, it is resolved now. I used flash programmer 2 for flashing the firmware . After flashing the green LED started blinking and when I open Sniffer agent it is detecting the device connected
