CC2640R2F: Battery Level Measurement with batteries in parallel

I am using AONBatMonBatteryVoltageGet() to get the battery level reading in CC2640R2F. Is the method the same to read the battery level for the circuit using the dual-battery in parallel?

By the way, is AONBatMonEnable() necessary? I don't see AONBatMonEnable() is used in the battservice.c from the SDK code.

AONBatMonBatteryVoltageGet reads VDD voltage so it doesn't matter you use dual-battery in parallel. AONBatMonEnable is necessary.

I assume that the voltage you want to monitor is the voltage you apply to the board. The supply voltage will not be a function of how many batteries you have in parallel.

Thanks for your answers. I did read the Doxygen document regarding AONBatMonEnable().

There was a very old discussion thread:

Besides, in the sdk code 'source\ti\blestack\profiles\batt\cc26xx\battservice.c', I don't see AONBatMonEnable() being used anywhere?

That is why I am confused!?

According to Christin's reply "The battery monitor needs to be always on since it's also used internally for some signal" in the post, AONBatMonEnable might be called in BLE Stack and you might not need to call it in your application. However, I still suggest you to keep it just in case BLE Stack doesn't call it and cause issues.
