LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: FW Download CC2640 device via SPI using ROM bootloader

I don't believe we have a SPI bootloader example and you may have to write your own. I will check with the tools team to confirm.

There is a ROM bootloader on the device that supports UART and SPI, which is described in the technical reference manual. The same code is also available on our github for modification and usage from flash: github.com/.../serial_bootloader.md / github.com/.../ble_examples-2.2

This is made for CC2650 and not CC2640R2 but there should be no real difference in how the boot loader and low level APIs are used, but it must be ported to a newer SDK, most importantly updated driverlib libraries.

Additionally there's the secure_fw example for blestack, which may do what you want: dev.ti.com/.../node and is documented in the User's Guide: dev.ti.com/.../node but supports only UART as far as I can see.

Is this the same as mentioned in SWRA466A Document.

I need the Bootloader code on the Host side , to update the FW image on CC2640 device via SPI thru host using SBL.

Yes this is the same. We do not have SPI host side reference code for this.
