We are working on a wireless battery management system design. We preferred to use CC2640 BLE chip for wireless communication. Please see the system diagram given below. In our system there will be 12 BMU modules and 1 BCU module. BCU is responsible for battery pack management while BMUs are used to gather cell voltage measurements.
As I am a new user of BLE, could anyone suggest me which connection topology should I use? (point-to-point, advertising or mesh network)
There will be at least 180 series battery cells in the design and it is critircal to get the measurement values as fast as possible. In our first solution, we taught that each BMU can be peripheral that will advertice the cell measurements at each 25 ms. And BCU will get that advertisement message and process it. Also 12 of the BMUs must send their voltage values as fast as possible. Could you please show me a way to manage this network?
