CC2640R2F: MP Programming Tools Unstabe

Dears

My customer meet 5% programming failure rate in their CC2640R2F product MP procedure, the failure report information as below picture.

The programming hardware is CC2640R2F Launchpad Emulator JTAG connection with customer socket board, programming software is Flash Programmer SW.

After happen the programming failure, some device can be re-program again, but few device will lock forever even if mass erase can not restore.

Can you take a picture of your JTAG connection with customer socket board?

Hi YiKai

Please check the connection picture as below. LauchBoard connect 3.3V, GND, TMS, TCK to the socket board.

Your JTag connection looks erratic to me. I suggest you to make sure all the connection are good and the cable between XDS110 and your device is recommended to less than 10 cm.

Note that the XDS on the launchpad and Flash Programmer 2 are not made to target mass production.

But in this case I agree with YK, I would assume that the failure rate could very likely be caused by mechanical factors.

Hi TER,

Customer agree to buy formal MP programmer, however we have not find the CC2640R2F supporting programmer vendor on web, could you please help recommend some programmer vendor? we will contact and follow it.
