RTOS/CC2640R2F: CC2640R2F UART to LIN

Part Number: CC2640R2F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01632, CC2640

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

I have download the TIDA-01632 schematic, download address:  www.ti.com/.../TIDA-01632, and found it has the Automotive LIN Transceiver Circuitry, show as below:

as i know the TLIN1029DRBRQ1 only change voltage form V3.3 to V12 or V12 to V3.3, and auto change the RXD and TXD to LIN; So how can CC2640 send out LIN protocol formats, such as Break Field packages?

This is done by using the UART peripheral that is available in the CC2640 family. Please let us know if you have further questions.

  • Hello David,

We want to use this schematic directly, and then LIN is directly connected to the standard on-board LIN bus. So if we want to dock with in-vehicle LIN, we must add another peripheral device of UART to LIN at the LIN end ?
  • Hello,

By default, the schematic shows the slave configuration. So using this configuration should allow you to hook your HW to the LIN bus.

    Hopefully this helps.
