CCS/CC2640R2F: Using CCS and XDC110 debugger, Simple peripheral device can't be discovered when debugging, but can be found when not debug.

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

CC2640R2F customed board as peripheral device. The program is Simple_Peripheral.

I'm using CCS to debug but when I'm in the debug mode, the device can't be discovered by any device (windows/ios). If I don't use debug, just only charge it, it will be discovered.

Does anyone know why it happened? Is there any solution?

Hi Shaung,

Did you press play (little green triangle) after you started the debug session? If not, the program is not running.

What do you mean by charge it? Does the same happen using the CC2640R2F Launchpad using un-modified Simple Peripheral. Also much better if you use the latest SDK version.

I don't have a Launchpad. I can only try on my customed board. I mean it will be discovered when just power it. But it won't be discovered when debug. Is there any possible reason?

I have worked with CC2640R2F Custom Boards and I do not encounter your problem. Refer to the CC26XX Hardware Trouble Shooting Guide link below. What JTAG debugger do you use at your CC2640R2F Custom Board?

Hello Shuang,
Which SDK are you using? Are you able to reproduce this on a launchpad and sample app? Are you sure your device works while not in debug mode (not picking up advertisements from other devies)?
