CC2652R: Touch Sensor controller Current consumption

Hi,

We use the captouch sense example from sensor controller studio for the touch implementation for our project. With this added to our original project, we see a current consumption peak of around 1 mA in an interval. This is without a touch trigger.

Is this current consumption expected with captouch sense example?

Hello Anu,

Is this occurring periodically? We suspect it to be a re-charge current.

Hi sai,
This occurs periodically at every 20msec . And the peak current is about 14 mA . Previous value of 1 mA was a mistake due to scaling error.
In the event handler code , we use a source current of 5.5uA and uses external reference with 1.2M grounded. We could not use the low power mode for Event Handler code , the sensitivity seemed to be very less in that case. Does the recharge cycle wake the main CPU too ? Is this high current expected on recharge cycle ?

Hi,
The recharge pulses do not wake the MCU when in sleep mode. The recharge peak current you see seems reasonable.
