Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2
Hello,
I recently acquired a Launchpad CC2640R2 and I'm having difficulty connecting to the device using a USB-MicroUSB cable as detailed in the "out of the box demo". When I connect the board via USB-MicroUSB cable, it turns on and functions as expected except for that CSS (my IDE of choice) cannot flash to or find the device. It runs the Out of Box example software and I'm able to connect to it via mobile device, but I can't load anything to it or make a serial connection. When I explored further using the Windows Device Manager, there were no devices registered in any COM ports or any CC2640R2/XDSxxx devices connected to my PC. Instead, the device displays as "Stellaris Device Firmware Upgrade" when the device is connected to the PC. I'm almost positive that it can't be a hardware issue on the PC end, as I tested all USB ports and I'm able to establish connections with other devices through them. The USB cable is also functional, as it powers on the device and functions on other devices. Based on what I've been able to put together it seems like it may be a hardware issue with the board itself, but before I take drastic measures I want to make sure that this is not a software/user issue as I'm new to the TI line of products. Any advice on how to resolve this issue would be very greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Dean
