Compiler/LAUNCHXL-CC1352R1: Simple Serial Client and Server doesn't compile inside of Code Composer Studio.

Hello,

I recently attempted to use the ble5stack examples provided on the TI website in order to ease the development of my course project for Texas Instruments. 
I realized that the code for Simple Serial Client and Server doesn't compile and build on the 1352R SDK inside of Code Composer Studio. The link to the github is provided below. 
If anyone could please provide me a way to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Michael,
Which SDK are you running the examples on? The link you provide suggests SDKv2.40, please confirm.

I was able to get the Simple Serial Working on the board by uninstalling and reinstalling CCS and the SDK on my computer, but now I just need a guide as to which variable holds the data sent to the board while it is in the simple serial server app and how to add it to the watch window during the debug mode of the app.

For the debugging, please refer to dev.ti.com/.../debugging-index.html

What do you mean about the which variable holds the data? Without me looking at the code, it should be easily figured out by looking on code traces from UART operations to the service _SetParameter function. If it isn't clear in the code, let me know and i'll look it up for you.

I believe that if I provide a more detailed account of my exact problem, then you could have a little bit more ease directing me in the right way. I’m designing an iPhone application that communicates over Bluetooth with the 1352R and sends it either a one or a two. Currently, I am able to connect through the board through it’s UUID and send data to the specified DataIn UUID in the ReadMe. However, now my issue is that I need to see whether that one or two is being received on the 1352R and I am lost on how to do so.

Alright, understand better now. I am not very familiar with the code but quickly browsing through simple_serial_socket_server.c seems to incidate that SimpleStreamServer_incomingDataCB is the one you are looking for. Specifically newMsg. Does that help?

So these were for the more generic Adafruit Bluefruit LE Connect. Do you know if there's a generic UUID associated with an iphone or if it's generally specific?

Hi Michael,
I do not understand you question. The UUIDs you refer to randomly generated and hardcoded into the service example. As the profile implementation is proprietary, there is no way for the iPhone to natively understand what they represent. Actually, that's the core strength of profiles in BLE, since they use GATT architecture.
