CC2541: BLE 5 - payload support?

CC2541 has a new stack release (1.5) - http://www.ti.com/tool/BLE-STACK

It claims full support of BLE5. BLE5 supports 244-byte payload. Can CC2541 support these large payloads with this stack?

As I know, CC2541 doesn't support BLE5. It's CC2640R2F, CC26x2R, and CC13x2R supporting BLE5.

Hi Brian,

The new BLE Stack for CC2541 is certified under the Bluetooth 5 specification. It does not support the optional data length extension feature that was added in BT4.2 though.

The supported features of CC2541 is limited to the mandatory features in the spec, basically what was available in BT4.0.
