CC2642R: RF Certification w/Software Change

What level of software change invokes a requirement to re-certify a product as an intentional RF emitter?  Do either of the two scenarios require re-certification:

  1. Using standard TI BLE stack, update the application firmware, TI BLE stack and SDK release remain the same.
  2. Using standard TI BLE stack, update the TI BLE stack or SDK release.

    Hi Stuart,

    None of these would require a re-certification as neither update affects the radio performance.

    If you for example update from only using 1 Mbps PHY to 2 Mbps, that would require a re-certification as the physical modulation is different.
