CCS/CC2640R2F: transive and receiver detail spec.

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi RM .

i have some question need to confirm with you :

1. is the CC2640R2F use the PLL to transmitte the ADV and receive the ADV?

2. Can i get the detail  of the transiver's spec and also the receiver spec?

3.if the phase error was caused by the PLL transiver at the inital carrier wave@ 2.4G and 250K ?

Leison

  • Could you please explain a bit on the background for the questions?

    1) Yes, the PLL is used to generate the RF frequency which is used for both RX and TX.
    2) The spec is covered in the datasheet. Does that mean you are interested in details not covered by the datasheet?
    3) What are you referring to here, which phase error?
  • 2) Yes , I need the details spec. not rough diagram covered in the datasheet.
    3) we are using the AoA to calculate the angel. since the modulation index is 0.45--0.55 which PLL the I/Q data is not accurate to do the AoA . that is why we need this spec to do some compesation to phase difference. i know TI has some compesations lab data . but we think we need to compesate in every 4 us sampling slot for every 16 I/Q .
  • Hi,

Can you please be a bit more specific in your request? What spec parameters are you asking for?

Example on how to handle inaccuracy in modulation index is already implemented in the SDK SW.

  • we know ti has solution or compesation with this PLL frequency deviation ( like array1 of Antenna1[0]  and antenna1[48]'s phase different  *1/3 as the compesation of the A12. we agreed this method and used this .but for 5 degrees of compesation added as A12 another phase difference and plus the certain angle degress caused by the channle 37/38/39.if consider the 2402M/2426/2480M frequency. this will not caused like -10degrees/-5degress/15 degrees deviation added to the AoA angle  .if consider also the 250K carrier wave . how to calculated ?   we do think it is very important for us to know what is the theory to get this values

becaused we think when the ADV is tranmitted by the PLL theory. for every period /different testing envirement/ different stats(like movement status). the frequency deviation will be different . this would be most critial issues that caused the phase difference is not compatible to our expected .so the compesation algrithm is musted and sound reasonable .

  • Hi Leison,

I do not fully understand what you are asking for, could you please try to elaborate a bit more?
Is your concern that motion affects the phase difference (doppler effect)?

The compensation as it is today will compensate both for PLL frequency error and deviation (250 KHz tone) error. There are more advanced and sophisticated ways this can be done but as of now this is the way TI have implemented the example today.
