Hi.

We have an application developed using CC2650.

We already have the PCB ready for the application. (Designed using CC2650 7mm-7mm)

Now we are planning to upgrade to CC2640R2F.

I see that the CC2640R2F is pin compatible with CC2650, and interested to know that can I directly replace CC2650 by CC2640R2F. (As it is without any modifications in the design)

If any modifications to be done, Please recommend the modifications ..

Basically, it should work but you need to use CC2640R2f SDK to develop BLE application instead of BLE Stack 2.2.x used by CC2650.

Thank you YiKai Chen,

We have used CC2640R2F SDK for our other application, which we have ported from CC26450 to CC2640R2F. But in that case, we have designed a new PCB.

But in the current application, we are trying to use the same board designed for CC2650, but with CC2640R2F.

Is there any hardware change needed?

As I know, except replacing chip, there is no need to change anything.
