CC2652R: CC2652 Tx Power tolerance and RSSI accuracy

Part Number: CC2652R

Hi team,

Customer is evaluating CC2652 on Bluetooth application and ask below questions relating to RF tests at manufacturing line. Please help clarify.

1. CC2652 BLE Tx power need to be tested from -25 dBm to +4 dBm per 3 dB step, and the tolerance should be limited in +- 2 dB.

Whether CC2652R could achieve this power acccuracy spec. ? or Does TI has Bluetooth Cal mechanism on CC2652R?

If TI has cal mechanism , please provide related document.

 2. About RSSI accuracy, their customer define RSSI need to be accurate to +/-2dB at room temperature, and

and +/- 4 dB over temperature. Could CC2652R could achieve this?  How to read the RSSI of CC2652R?

  • Hi Jerry,

    1. The Tx power settings for CC2652R are found in SmartRF Studio. Output power distribution is not only based on IC performance, but also external factors in the customer´s design. The output power distribution will typically be within +/- 2 dB, but there will be devices falling outside of this window. There is no calibration mechanism in the device.
    2. Refer to the datasheet.

    Regards,
    Fredrik
