Hi,

Is the distance reported by the RTLS passive device during ToF demo calculated on the basis of time difference between the time at which the packet is sent by the master and the time at which the passive receives the packet? Does it take into account the distance between the passive and the master?

Hi Rushang,

The calculation is based on a ping-pong, i.e. time from sending a packet until it's received again . I do does not take the Master/Passive distance into account, which is why you would see 2 lines (distance measurements) in the GUI, one from passive/slave (by sniffing the master/slave connection) and one from master/slave. In our current tests, the distance between passive and master is neglectable.

Thanks. Also, is the channel map shared with the passive device by the master device? Do they operate/hop at the same frequency at a given instant of time?
