CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: Low Power Issues with pinShutdown Example

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ENERGYTRACE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi!

I am currently having issues with the pinShutdown example on the CC26X2R1. My current setup for the board has all headers removed excluding the power and LED headers. When running EnergyTrace and tapping a button, it seems to sometimes enter low power mode for some time, but then wakes up without further input. Did I setup the device incorrectly? I would appreciate any help in this matter. Below are my two readings from EnergyTrace.

Also, a customer is looking to integrate this example with the ULPSENSE booster pack and replace the buttons with the capacitive touch sensors. Does anyone have thoughts on this and what the power consumption might look like to have the board scanning for a tap to wake it up from the low power mode?

Finally, in the related thread, Fredrik mentioned removing a resistor to reduce current further, would this damage the boards capabilities at all?

Thanks,

Cameron
