LAUNCHXL-CC1352P: BLE Advertisement, Scan_request and Scan_response

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC1352P

Hello,

I wanted to know if there's a way to disable scan_response.

For eg:
A peripheral transmits connectable undirected advertisement

An active scanning central device , sends a scan request 150us on receiving the advertisement

Is there a way to prevent the transmission of scan_response from the peripheral.

In addition is there a way to send scan_request to only selected advertisements from a peripheral.

  • Hi,

the only way to "not" respond to a scan request is to use whitelist. Otherwise it's mandatory to response, per core spec.

  • Thank you Joakim.  That answers my question.

Can you also answer one more question for me, It mandatory to have  128bit UUID in the 31 byte advertising payload when we are customizing the advertisement data.
OR is it possible to transmit an advertising packet without the UUID in it and use the 31 bytes for other transmitting other content.

    THank you
