LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: Pairing mode doesn't work

Hi All,

I am using LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 board. I am trying to change the pairing mode in both peripheral and central project examples, but I figured out no matter which piring mode I choose, central always can connect to the peripheral! I even change the peripheral pair mode to GAPBOND_PAIRING_MODE_NO_PAIRING but still central can connect!

I need to change the pair mode to Numeric Comparison so as per the documentation I expect that "both devices display a 6-digit code. Each device must then indicate, through a button press or some other Yes-No input, whether the codes match" but doesn't work for me, am I missing something?

Hi Masi,

In Bluetooth low energy, this is the process

Peripheral Advertises, Central Scans
Central forms the connection
Pairing mode can be requested by Peripheral or initiated by Central
1. If bonding is enabled, devices do not have to paired again after disconnect/connect.

So pairing essentially only means encrypting the link, after the connection has been formed so I am not really sure what you mean with "central always can connect to the peripheral".
