CC2640R2F: How to set the GATT Characteristic to use 16 bit UUID

I'm using ble5_simple_peripheral_cc2640r2lp_app, and has a question on the GATT Characteristic UUID.

In the setting, I saw that it's set to 2 bytes (16 bit) UUID, while when I try to connect to the Development Kit, it shows 128 bit UUID.

Do I need to make some change if I want it to be REAL 16 bit UUID?
