RTOS: BLE 5.1 with development board

Hi,

I am a research student and I would like to work on Ble 5.1 for my research application. Is there any particular development board which has SDK with examples for Ble 5.1? I could not find any.

I am not looking for Ble chip alone but for a development board as well for my application.

Any help would be helpful.

Hi Niranjan,

You can use CC2640R2F Launchpad or CC2652R Launchpad. If you are new to these boards I suggest you go through the Bluetooth Simplelink Academy.

Hi Niranjan,

As Yikai says, you can use the CC2640R2F LaunchPad. The BLE-Stack for CC2640R2F will be Bluetooth 5.1 qualified for the next release (3.20 SDK).

Alternatively you can use CC1350 LaunchPad. The BLE-Stack for CC13x0 is Bluetooth 5.1 qualified for the newest release (3.20 SDK).

Please note that none of these releases have any Bluetooth 5.1 new features.

Is there any reason why you want to work with Bluetooth 5.1? (And not Bluetooth 5.)
