Hi expert,

When a moisture-proof coating material is applied to CC2650 MODAMOHT below conditions,
Is there any adverse effect on radio communication?

conditions;
1. Moisture-proof coating is non-conductive.
2. The coating area is 3 side areas and 1 front area.
3. Will not apply to the antenna section.

We think that the following points are assumed, but how is it?
・ Matching may occur when applying to antenna, transmission line between chips.
・ However, because it is the 2.4 GHz band, the influence is considered to be small when considered from the wavelength.

I agree with your logic. As long as the antenna part is not covered using a moisture proof coating should be fine. But I would run some extra tests to compare the performance with an unmodified module to verify that this is the case.

Sorry, I see that my post could be misunderstood. What I tried to write is that you as the customer/ user should do some tests. Especially in this case since I don't have the module with the cating you are using.
