CC2564MODx Certification needed

We developed a device using the CC2564MODx. We did not add any extra Hardware regarding communications and data transmission.

Our doubt is that, we want to sell our device in some countries, and the certification company we usually work with told us that we have to perform Conducted testing and Radiated testing for some countries. We thought that this module was worldwide certified. Is it still needed to do some testing for certifications in other countries, even if the module is already certified in them?

The fact is that the only thing we do for this testing is to connect a SMA antenna connector and run the Texas' test mode, which we think is already tested, and does not make sense to repeat the same test it in each country.

Thank you for your attention.

  • Hi,

We have assigned the issue to the right owner and you should be getting a response soon.

  • Hi,

Our CC2564MODx module is only certified in 3 regions. US, Canada and Europe. For all other regions there may be additional testing that is required and thus you will need to control the radio. Each country has their own regulations. Some countries may accept the FCC or CE report for compliance, but there may still be some additional items in that region that you need to cover (such as labeling or documentation requirements). Other countries (such as Japan and Brazil) have their own requirements that you will need to test too.

    I  hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Riz
