LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: Channel Selection Algorithm Modification

Hi All

I am right now working on BLE Channel Selection Algorithm. I dont know if LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 could satisfy my requirements for my experiment.

Basically, three questions:

1. Is it possible to switch Channel Selection Algorithm 1 and 2 on the device? I saw some information online that there is a feature bit for that. 2. Is it possible to control the channel map by my own software?

3. Is it possible to modify the Channel Selection Algorithm myself? For example, modifying the Channel Selection Algorithm for both master and slave, then make them communicate with one another.

    Hi Bozheng,

    1. Yes, when you disable CSA #2 you will use CSA #1 instead. 

    2. Yes, it is. You can use HCI_LE_ReadChannelMapCmd() to read the current channel map and HCI_LE_SetHostChanClassificationCmd() to update the current channel map.

    3. No, you either have to use CSA #1 or #2. 

    I would recommend you to use the newest version of the SDK when you start developing your application. The link you sent is from an older version of the SDK.
