I have purchased CC2541DK mini and I need to connect the 222541 USB dongle with my PC. Unfortunately it is not responding at all. I would like to use the Btool, and I wanted to install the driver software as well. Unfortunately my PC can not recognize the USB dongle. can you please suggest me what to do?

    Hi,

    What OS are you running on your PC and have you updated the firmware on the CC2540 USB Dongle by using Flash Programmer?

    Hi, 

    Thanks for your reply. I am using Win 10. I tried to use the Flash programmer to update the firmware. But unfortunately, the flash programmer can not recognize CC2540 USB ( My COM port is showing nothing is there). Therefore, i could not update the firmware as per the instructions. Thank you.

    Hi, 

    You will need a CC Debugger to flash the CC2540 USB Dongle with firmware to support the virtual UART over USB.

    Hi,

     Your specific suggestions are tried earlier and did not get any results. Therefore, we were pretty sure that the USB dongle has some problems. 

    It has been replaced by the vendor, and now it is working. Thanks for your suggestions though.

    Hi,  

        Your specific suggestions are tried earlier and did not get any results. I bought a new CC2541DK-MINI, and inserted the new USB Dongle, there were red light on the board and the flash programmer can recognize CC2540 USB ( My COM port is showing USB Serial Device (COM4)), but the old one had nothing (have no red light and can not recognize USB device). 

          Therefore, we were pretty sure that the old USB dongle has some problems and needed to return purchase，thanks！
