CC2564MODA: VDD_IO typical current specification

Part Number: CC2564MODA

 Hi,

I am looking at the CC2564MODA datasheet and see the table (4.5.2.1) for the VDD_IN average current consumption, but I

haven't been able to locate a similar current specification for the VDD_IO rail? I am trying to use a +1.8 volt supply

that already exists on my board and want to know if it can drive the VDD_IO voltage.

Thanks for helping!

Larry

  • Hi Larry,

I hope all is well. My apologies for the late reply. The VIO current will depend on the functions that you are using. IF you look in Table 3-1 of the datasheet it has the I/) type and the typical current dray for that feature. Adding up these currents you will be at 50mA typical. You will also need to account for any current draw in your pull up / pull down resistors as well. We would recommend some margin on the 50mA as well. Usually 80 - 100mA should be sufficient.

    Thanks,

    Riz
