CCS/CC2541: CC2541 Porting enquiry

Hi TI,

Customer are currently using CC2541, they would like to upgrade the old Bluetooth version 4.0 to 5.0.

it stated is possible to port from Bluetooth 4.0 to 5.0 using

1.) I would like to confirm does CC2541 can port from Bluetooth 4.0 to 5.0?

2.) May I know should i refer to Page81 http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swru271h/swru271h.pdf for software porting from Bluetooth 4.0 to 5.0?

Basically, CC254x cannot support BLE 5.0 features.

I saw the webpage it stated this device is now Bluetooth 5 qualified. Is that means although is Bluetooth 5 qualified but it is not able to support Bluetooth version 5?

Do you have any device can recommend that can support for bluetooth 5? Thanks!

Hi,

The CC2541 is Bluetooth 5 qualified, although does not incorporate any of the optional BT5 features.

For BT5.x, I recommend CC2642,
