We have Linkit 7688 processor with CC2564 for bluetooth connectivity.

UART0 is used as the communication interface.

"hciattach /dev/ttyS0 any 115200" - this command is used to setup the device.

But the result is given below:

[ 1524.147679] Bluetooth: hci0 command 0x1003 tx timeout
[ 1526.227508] Bluetooth: hci0 command 0x1001 tx timeout
[ 1528.307489] Bluetooth: hci0 command 0x1009 tx timeout

The status hciconfig shows the status of the bluetooth as DOWN.

Please help.

What has changed? Are you using a newer Linux kernel and Filesystem? It seems the device is already is booted. Try with #hciconfig hci0 up

The kernal version is 4.14.95

When we execute "hciconfig hci0 up"

we get output like this:

Do, you have SERDEV (serial device bus) enabled in the kernel and does the DTB attaches bluetooth functionality to serial port? If, so Serdev/Bluez kernel driver downloads the BTS script to the controller..

If, not you can toggle the BT_EN GPIO from user space and download the BTS file with 'hciattach'. and, when you use hciattach, provide the vendor name as 'texas'.
