Selecting the right Bluetooth IC/module

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2652R

Hi,

We are couple of students studying in Lund, Sweden. We have been assigned to build a small device that would be handed out to new students studying electrical engineering at our university. This device contains a LED matrix, which will display different messages. This relatively short messages (approx. 1 kB each) should be sent from a cellphone to a MCU via Bluetooth. Preferred interface is UART or SPI. We have already browsed through your product selection, but we are still uncertain which of them would be most suitable for our needs. It would be good if the BT device is either already configured for this type of communication or is easily configured. There is no need for a built in MCU inside the BT chip. Which device would you recommend?

Best regards / Christoffer
