Hi,

If I download bin file using SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 1.8.0 I get "Success" download, see below.

If I download bin file using SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 1.8.1 I get "Failed" download, see below.

Other issues:

When I use SmartRF Flash Programmer 2, then I do CCSv9.20 debug it always prompt for firmware update. If I use SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 again ti prompts for firmware update.

Also, you can not see Verify options. I have reported this before.

I can see the same issue on Flash Programmer 2 version 1.18.1. My alternative is to use latest Uniflash V5.2.0.

We now about both the issues in version 1.8.1. The plan is to have a new release by the end of January next year solving both:

Mismatch with the Emulator pack used by CCS and our flash programmer
Programming part of the complete image. I believe the example shown here is a binary file with only part of the complete FW image that will be required to run the device. The flash programmer try to read something from the last page that is not there and gives an error message.

For CC2640R2 it should be fine to stay with version 1.8.0 except for the mismatch of the Emulator pack.

I have put together a patch to update the EMU pack on your flash programmer installation. This should be aligned with CCS: /cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/538/srfprog2_5F00_emu_5F00_patch_5F00_8.3.0.00003.zip
