Is it possible to create a bi-directional audio link between two Bluetooth modules?

I have a video camera that accepts a microphone input for commentary and a speaker output for camera state information. These are normally wired remotely to a headset, but I would like to make it wireless. Bluetooth would appear to be an elegant solution, but can it be done? Most commercial devices are either one way (remote speakers), or two way to a smart phone. There doesn't appear to be a commercially available system that provides the simple solution I am looking for.
