I use the SDK <simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_3_30_00_20>.

The "simple_serial_socket_server" and "simple_serial_socket_client" examples will automatically connect to each other. Please see the documentation for the examples:

I see you already mentioned you can enable indication in simple_peripheral example according to this post. I cannot provide every example for you. You should revise simple_serial_socket examples accordingly by yourself.
