CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: Unable to use CCS Debugger as well as BTool for tutorial in Quick Start Guide

Currently in my setup I have two LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 launchpads. While testing, one of my launchpads is able to utilize the CCS debugger, and separately can run the setup in BTool. The other board does not. In CCS once the debugger is ran and finishes no main.c file appears and nothing can be ran. In addition, BTool gives a Device Timeout Error once the COM port is chosen. Overall one board works and another does not. I am curious if this is a software issue or if I will need to get another board. Please let me know if you need additional information.

If you use Flash Programmer 2 to check the bad one, can it recognize the chip?

The board you have issues with, are you able to use this with SmartRF Studio? If yes, what happens if you run the "empty" example from the SDK?

Since Flash Programmer 2 can recognize it, you should be able to use CCS to program it. By the way, which chip revision of CC2652R do you see on Flash Programmer 2?

The chip revision that I see is: C (1.1). Also when I program the launch pad with CCS it doesn't throw any errors, but instead once the project is debugged main.c does not appear, thus I can not run it like normally.

We no longer support rev C. Please scrap the rev C Launchpad and order a new one.

Revision C chip will only be compatible with SDK v2.30.00.xx and earlier. You can find previous compatible SDK version in www.ti.com/tool/download/SIMPLELINK_CC26X2_SDK
