LPSTK-CC1352R: CC1352R data to AWS IoT

Hello, we're trying to send LPSTK-CC1352R sensor data to AWS IoT. We have established the connectivity fine; on the IoT Core Monitor page, we see Connect and Ping data, but no Publish data (no payload, etc). On the IOS app, I can do "Push to Cloud" but the icon doesn't animate to signify data is being transferred. On Android, it would work for a second or two, then crash.

We have confirmed that we're sending data out by sending to the IBM IoTF Quickstart option, but would prefer to use AWS. When sending to IBM and "Push to cloud" clicked, you can see the animation signifying data is being transferred. We can of course confirm the data on the the live sensor data monitor on IBM IoT page.

Can you please let me know if we're missing anything? I've read a few posts back that AWS wasn't working. Is it supported at this time?

Hi,

You can use IOS LightBlue App, but it works with notifications. So, the default BLE LPSTK-CC1352R example program will not work readily.

Thanks Markel for that suggestion. Unfortunately, it's also not connecting to AWS IoT. It keeps showing that it can't create the policy, and I've followed their setup steps. They seem to be aware of it as they noted on their documentation:

: If you’ve previously left the app to copy the credentials from Safari or another iOS web browser, or if you keep getting connection failures to AWS IoT, you may have to navigate back to the main BLE scanning screen of the app and reconnect to your device for Cloud Connect to work correctly.

I've done it multiple times and various data attributes (temperature, humidity, etc) with no success.

Using my very old Iphone4s and IOS version, I did not make it work either. I informed them about it and they say they did the steps and it worked, most likely using a more recent Iphone model.

Anyway if it really does not work then you need to make a custom app to send data to AWS. AWS have good documentation about it.
