Hi,

We're using the CC1352P-2 Launchpad and we are trying to understand how to dynamically change TX output power within a BLE application. Referencing project zero from simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_3_40_00_02 we see that the RF driver is enabled through sysconfig and we see the tables in ble_user_config.c, but we are not seeing how this is used within the application. Is there a SimpleLink Acadamy module or BLE userguide section we can reference to understand how this driver works?

Also, is there a BLE-specific document for the RF driver or does the following documentation in the proproetary-rf-users-guide apply to BLE also?

Elin, please be more specific with this. What shall I search for in project_zero to understand how the RF driver is used and how TX output power is being configured?

Elin, I don't see the RF driver described at the link you provided. Is it listed by another name, or is there a different link? Recall that we're trying to understand the recommended way to change TX output power in a BLE project.

There is an HCI API that takes care of changing the TX power. It's called HCI_EXT_SetTxPowerCmd() and you can find the documentation for it here under the HCI tab: http://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=AAdGbdkELbDCwzMZfDxBJg__pTTHBmu__LATEST

Hi TI rperezti,

Just a friendly advice regarding HCI_EXT_SetTXPowerCmd(), better verify the actual TX Power using test equipment. Also, try to set the TX Power not from initialization, but for example using Bluetooth Characteristics.
