CC2642R: TI Launchpad and Host Test: Chnaging TX power level using HCIExt_SetTxPowerCmd to 0dBm and 5dBM does not show any difference

Part Number: CC2642R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SIMPLELINK-CC13X2-26X2-SDK, LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1

Hello,

I am using the 2 TI launchpads, 1st as Host Test and 2nd in RF Smart Studio as to see the RSSI value for transmitted message from the Host Test.

I am using HCIExt_SetTxPowerCmd  to change the power level from -21 dBm to 5 dBm. However, I am not seeing any difference in RSSI value when the power is set to -21 dBm to 5 dBm.

I am using following Host Test API from BTool:

  1. HCIExt_SetTxPowerCmd
  2. HCIExt_ModemTestTxCmd --> Capture the RSSI value in Smart RF Studio
  3. HCIExt_EndModemTestCmd

-21dBm:

-12dBm:

0dBm:

5dBm:
