You can try to connect it to TI Simplelink Starter App running into Smartphone to check version.

It does not show up on the simple link starter application even though I see many other devices being detected. I should be expecting CC2650 Sensortag on the application right?

Yes, you should see SensorTag on the App. If not, I would suggest you to download prebuilt SensorTag firmware in BLE Stack to your SensorTag to test again.

I am using Mac OS Catalina, and I cannot seem to find a BLE Stack that supports the Mac platform. Based on this reply from 2016, it seems like BLE stack is not supported on Mac...? Any advice on how I can proceed from here?

Try to use Uniflash to download  e2e.ti.com/.../sensortag_5F00_cc2650stk.zip into your SensorTag to test again.

At the current moment, UniFlash cannot detect or flash to the Sensortag as well. As such, even though I have downloaded the zip file and extracted the hex files, I am unable to flash them on to the CC2650 sensortag. Am I missing something here?

Try to replace an USB cable and restart your MAC OS to see if it works.

I switched a USB cable and restarted my laptop. The same problem occurred. >_<

I would suggest you to find another desktop to make sure your CC-DEVPACK-DEBUGGER and CC2650STK work first.

I tried a few things:

- downgraded my OS back to MacOS Mojave when things were last functional

- used another USB cable

- restarted my laptop

- used another desktop/laptop

- tried to detect the Sensortag on SimpleLink Starter, SimpleLink SensorTag, TI SensorTag mobile applications

Despite all these methods, the Sensortag still cannot be detected by my laptop or any other systems I use. I am quite at my wits' end. Is there a way to do some kind of factory reset of the SensorTag just by using the hardware (i.e. the SensorTag) alone? This is especially so since it does not seem like I am able to flash any programs onto my Sensortag.

And after a while the download fails. I have been experiencing this problem when I download other software like UniFlash from the site as well. I am not sure if it is because there are many other people trying to download software from TI now...but in any case, my Internet is fine - I am listening to YouTube as I type this.

I have no problem to download it from my home. I think it might be blocked by your firewall or antivirus software.

I have finally managed to download the emupack. Any idea on how I can use it for my sensortag?

Edit: Must I download CCS? I glanced through some wiki on XDS Debugger but I'm afraid I'm still not sure how to proceed.
