CC2640R2F: Developing a BLE 5 app for data transfer with Windows 7

Part Number: CC2640R2F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3200

Hi TI,

Our purpose is to integrate BLE 5 in our embedded application, and do it quickly. We basically need to send/receive data with maximum throughput. We expect over 1Mbps application data.

Another constraint is support for Windows 7.

What options are available to do this? What data throughput can we expect?

We develop in C# on the PC side, but if there is a C++ SDK available it would do too.

We currently are using the CC3200 on our embedded side, and need to interface this now with BLE 5, instead of using WiFI, so thought of connecting a dedicated BLE 5 chip to do this.

In the PC side we would need to use the TI dongle. Please consider this for the expected throughput response.

Thank you,

Moshe
