CC2564CSTBTBLESW: CC2564C A3DP and BLE

Part Number: CC2564CSTBTBLESW
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2564C

We are working on an application which needs to be switchable between A2DP source mode and A2DP sink mode.

BLE is not really required at this point in time but considered "nice to have" for field-upgrade.

We know that A3DP and BLE cannot co-exist on CC2564C.

Could you elaborate on what this restriction means in reality ?

Would it be possible for App on mobile device to communicate over BLE if just stopping playback first ?

We don´t need a remote user interface via BLE and App, the transitions should just not be too ugly, no re-boot needed, no re-connection needed.

Our host MCU is able to receive/transmit audio packets via hci and handle encoding/decoding.

We just fear that this is more effort than using A3DP.

Pls share your experience to guide us whether to use A3DP or A2DP.

We would prefer to use the "standard" approach for shorter time to market and lower risk. Are there other restrictions of A3DP which we should be aware of ?

thanks and regards, Christoph
