CC2541: BT4.2 BQB PHY test

Part Number: CC2541

Hi,

I have a product using CC2541, and now I want to get BQB certificate.

I looked up in Bluetooth Website, and I found that TI has QDIDs of Host and Controller Subsystem for CC254x as Bluetooth 5.0, the links are as below.

- Host Subsystem: https://launchstudio.bluetooth.com/ListingDetails/80440

- Controller Subsystem: https://launchstudio.bluetooth.com/ListingDetails/80416

Does it mean that I can certify my product as Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, since now 4.0 is not supported.

If yes, what DTM firmware should I use? Can you share it with me?

Thanks,

Evan

  • Hello Evan,

You can list your product with BT Core Spec 5.0 with  Core Spec 4.0 Features. Most of it should be explained in the "Regulatory Approval Testing in the How to Qualify Your Bluetooth® Low Energy Product" application note:

    http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/swra601

You can reuse Host and Controller listings, but you will need to perform PHY testing on your custom hardware.
