CCS/CC2564C: How long is the Bluetooth transmission delay normal?

Hi,dear Ti engineer!

The two SPP devices A and B have established a connection. The point of HCI UART TX of the A device has finished sending a frame of HCI package is Time1, The point of HCI UART TX of the B device start to transmit bt's receive data is Time2,The difference between Time2 and Time1 is a few milliseconds or tens of milliseconds. is this normal?

I want to achieve data transmission at close range and low latency (a few milliseconds),But the status quo is not ideal now.Thanks!

Hi Li,

Here are a few things you can do to increase the transfer speed -

–Remove token mechanism from the example

–Use the Notification method of a characteristic to send data

–Force device into Slave Mode

–Reeconfigure connection interval to 10 ms

How can I remove the token mechanism of the SPP demo, can you briefly talk about it?

Other suggestions seem to be about BLE.

Hi Li,

What you'll want to do is reduce the amount of messages sent between the devices. If you look into the sending and recieving functions, you'll see we check for tokens before sending. remove this and don't do these checks to see if throughput improves.
