Accelerometer notifications

Also, I was wondering if there was more information on accelerometer notifications.  Are there specifications regarding the nature of the notifications sent?  For instance, is the data an indication of absolute location relative to a starting point, or simply the change in distance from the location of the previous notification?  If anyone could point me towards these specifications, I'd really appreciate it.  Thanks.

    For the x-axis and y-axis notifications, the values represent the tilt of the keyfob as signed 8-bit integers. If the keyfob is held flat with the battery-side up, the values will be zero. If you tilt the keyfob forward, the x-axis values go negative. If you tilt it back, they go positive. If you tilt to the left, the y-axis values go negative, and if you tilt to the right they go positive.
